About us
WHAT QADAM IS
Qadam means "step". We are a community of people from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in the UK. We went through the move ourselves and now explain to others how things work here: asylum, the doctor, paperwork, housing, money, English, work, safety. Everything is free — always.
We are a community
Not a service and not an organisation with a counter window. People who have been where you are and stay close: a chat, meet-ups, a person you can write to in your own language.
Only what is verified
Facts — from GOV.UK, NHS and organisations that really help, with the date they were checked. No promises about outcomes or timelines. When you need a specialist, we say so plainly.
Open to everyone
We openly support LGBTQ+ people and women's rights — there are separate pages for them. We never judge anyone. We are not the police and not the Home Office.

ACAA — Afghanistan and Central Asian Association
A London charity for refugees and migrants from Afghanistan and Central Asia: an advice clinic, English, support for women. We share their cause and support it. We don't take donations from participants; if you want to thank Qadam — support ACAA.
The project is not yet registered as an organisation. No one on the team gives immigration advice or assesses the prospects of a case — only IAA-registered advisers and SRA/BSB lawyers can do that. We explain how the system works and tell you when it is time to see a specialist.
