A step-by-step plan for your situation

One form for any question. Describe what's going on for you, and within 24 hours a step-by-step PDF will land in your inbox: where to go in your area, what to say in English, what to bring with you, who to call if they turn you away.

Everything at Qadam London is free — the guide and the personal plan. No conditions, no fees, no “pay first”. One person reads your request and writes a route just for you.

A free asylum lawyer

Legal aid firms near you, a check against the register, a script for the call.

A doctor (GP) and the NHS

Practices near you, what to say at reception, what to do if they turn you away.

HIV / STI testing, PrEP, vaccines

A clinic nearby or a self-test kit by post, how to start PrEP.

English: college or courses

Where to enrol by postcode, a letter to the college, what to bring to the test.

Mental health support

Where to get free help, in Russian or with an interpreter.

A letter from the Home Office or Migrant Help

What the letter is, what deadline is in it and which lawyer to take it to.

Another question

Housing, money, work after status, documents, a school for your child — anything at all. If it's not our topic, we'll tell you honestly who to go to.

The first part of your postcode is enough (E1, M14) — so we can find addresses nearby.
0 / 2500 · at least 60 characters. The more specific you are, the more precise the plan.
Up to 3 files, each up to 5 MB. You can photograph a letter from the Home Office. Cover your case number, passport details and address.
Tap "Get a code" — we'll send 6 digits to make sure the address is right.

    What's in the plan

    1. Where to go. Addresses, phone numbers and opening hours for your area — a clinic, a college, a legal aid firm, not "contact the NHS".
    2. What to say. Ready-made phrases in English with a translation: for reception, for calling a lawyer, for a letter to the college.
    3. What to bring and in what order. A list of documents, steps day by day, what to do if they say no.
    4. Who to call if something goes wrong. Verified helplines for your topic.

    Questions and answers

Is it really free? What's the catch?
There's no catch. Qadam London is a community, not a service: everything here is free and will stay free, and we don't take donations from members. If you'd like to say thank you, support ACAA — but that's optional and changes nothing.
Will you assess my chances? Tell me what to say at the interview?
No. By law, only an IAA-registered adviser or an SRA / BSB lawyer can do that. On an asylum case the plan gives you one thing: how to find such a specialist for free and what to bring to the first meeting.
Will you call on my behalf?
No. We'll send you the list, the checks and a ready-made script — you make the call. Need an interpreter — ask the organisation, it's free.
I have a refusal and the 14 days are running. Will you be in time?
Don't count on us with a deadline that tight — call the Refugee Council straight away on 0808 196 7272. You can send a request at the same time: mention the deadline in the description and we'll reply faster.
What if nobody on the list takes my case?
Write to plan@qadamlondon.uk in reply to the email with your plan: “nobody took it”. We'll widen the search to neighbouring areas.

This is information and a route, not immigration advice: only a specialist registered with the IAA or an SRA / BSB lawyer can advise on an asylum case.
